Claudia having a fling with an actress before she's turned in Babeyverse is SO perfect because in the book Lestat tried running away when he was 16 with an acting troupe and had a thing with an actress. Will Claudia still meet and fall for Madeleine eventually?

my current romantic plans for claudia are that she's fairly popular as someone to admire (pretty, rich girl who can go about town pretty much as she pleases) and gets lots of interest/flowers/little presents, but her only serious prospects pre-change are charlie (was hired as her driver for running errands around town during the day, dies in a car accident when claudia was driving when she's 16-ish) and actress with a visiting theater troop when she's 18/19-ish (doesn't work out and hurts at the time, but it's the kind of thing you look back on and learn from and can remember fondly), and she kind of gives up dating mortals at that point because she knows she's going to be a vampire anyway, so she might as well wait. (also she's just had her heart broken twice relatively close together, and it's kind of a defense mechanism to just not pursue romance, and vampirism is a convenient excuse).
she'll date idly a bit as she grows up but not even really be looking for someone when she stumbles across madeleine and falls in love without really meaning to. i think i'm going to have them in new york by that point, and claudia will bump into her while she's shopping when madeleine is trying to find a dress shop to work in until she can save up to start one of her own, and in true how they met in canon energy, madeleine (who is in a bad mood just because it's hot outside and she's frustrated) will say something to the effect of claudia's dress not suiting her at all and claudia saying something like she'd like to see her do better, and then it'll spark a little madeleine designing something for claudia and them falling in love during fittings situation.
