What is BG/brain goblin?

Brain Goblin (BG) is the creature that lives within my brain and drives my writing. She is a wily wretch of a beast who chooses to strike only when it will present the greatest inconvenience for me.

Are you ever going to write for ______ again?

Probably! But I don't control brain goblin. I haven't abandoned fandoms and made a conscious decision to just never write for them again, but trust me, the writing I could put out if I forced it would not be worth your time.

What fandoms is this blog for?

Anything that catches my interest, but the fandoms I post my own stuff about frequently enough that they have tags are Witcher (#pen posts), The Last of Us (#tlou pen), and Interview with the Vampire (#iwtv). Within those fandoms, there are subtags based on verses I've built.

So I actually have a horror of accidentally forgetting someone (especially a mutal) when recommending fics, so I don't create fic rec lists, sorry!

Do you take prompts?

I do not! Sometimes I play idea tennis with people and it sparks something, but sending me prompts does nothing. I don't know if it's BG or pathological demand avoidance, but something about getting sent prompts turns my brain ALL the way off. I'm sure the prompt is lovely! I am not the one to write it.

gonna throw my hat in the ring for Italian Greyhound Anya. Ilya heard "greyhound" and was picturing a tall dog who could go on runs with him. instead he ends up fussing over the tiniest little wisp of a dog wearing an absolutely massive puffercoat

anya sometimes comes by and sniffs at shanes forehead or throat and then retreats all suspisiously "quiet" and shanes like "!!! am i sick??" bc she can tell before they can and ilyas all "relax, hollander, she is a dog. dogs sniff people all day. does not mean anything"

I think Italian greyhound Anya could also be so funny, similar to borzoi with the uncanny valley energy but also big horse energy where if you look at them wrong they break a leg. also Shane being like oh cool greyhound we can go on runs together! only to see the creechure in his boyfriend’s lap

You know I'd always just assumed "who killed Tupac" was one of life's mysteries on par with the Lindbergh baby, so I was today years old when I learned that not only is someone actually going on trial for it in the year of our lord 2026 but in fact part of why said guy was arrested is because he wrote a memoir in 2019 where he talked about how he helped kill Tupac

obsessed with shane allergies posting. tangentially: lactose intolerant ilya (bc i am lactose intolerant lol) and ESPECIALLY like. ilya not discovering this until after he's been doing allergy safe foods for awhile and then has Lactose (in my mind shane doesnt have a dairy allergy necsssarily but a lot of times allergen free diets do cut out milk products. or maybe shane is gone for a few days at some ad shoot or smth and potentially gets a coffee that has regular milk in it perhaps). and experiences Regret lol

significantly, after ilya accepts that he is lactose intolerant and stomachaches are not just the price everyone pays for milk, shane is INSUFFERABLY smug about still being able to eat dairy.
