5 things I like about myself

Thanks to bablefisk and green-keys-3 for sending this to me! You guys are the best and always brighten up my dash! (Also sorry it's taken me this long to do it)

So five things I like about myself:

1. My loyalty: It really takes a lot for me to stop being friends with someone (i.e. stalking). I tend to ignore the faults (which we all have!) of people close to me to do this though, which in the long run hurts me a lot. But its a commendable trait, I think, up until that point.

2. My perseverance: For the past couple of years I have been pretty set on being a math major - partially for the money and job options but mostly because I love math. When I got to school, my math class started kicking my ass big time, but I still love it. So, even when half my class dropped to the math course a level down or left my section because they teacher is tough af, even when my mom started trying to steer me away from it, even when my math classmates act extremely surprised (to the point that its rude tbh) when I tell them my intention, I've stuck with it. Similarly, when I got to college I decided to start learning Arabic (My grandfather speaks Levantine colloquial Arabic) and then decided to continue with it past the required year, even though I am absolutely awful at foreign language acquisition, and even though I have been tempted to drop it a few times because I'm struggling, I haven't.

3. My intelligence/intellectual curiosity: I love learning, and I'm at a school that prides itself on "life of the mind" and all that. It's also a top their university and is known for being very difficult. So, even though I am definitely struggling, I really love it here.

4. My generosity: If I know you, I will go out of my way to help you if you need it: be it with warmer clothes for a day, money, advice, etc.

5. My ability to slay in any conversation about Harry Potter irl (I have to admit some people who write fanfiction and are on this site definitely know more than me). And talk about it for 5+ hours straight without getting bored.

Thanks again to bablefisk and green-keys-3! I really needed this today.

Much belated, but. Trying now *sigh* Being positive may rock, but it's also hard!
