Tatting progress. I turned the corner, and shortly thereafter made a mistake. I had to take out two rings and a chain, and of course I broke the thread, and then had to remember how to fix things. Besides that, my biggest issue has been trying to deal with the finished part while trying to make joins, and doing what I call “thread handling” - mostly dealing wth letting out & winding in threads as I work. Today is another take-my-hubby-to-work day (coworker who usually drives was out). We decided bringing the table loom might be too much of a distraction 😒 so I’m working on my tatting. I’ve known how for a long time, but I’m generally too slow (and make too many mistakes) to make much progress. I’d like to improve and pick up some speed. Last year I finally figured out the “slip & slide” method with a shuttle. (I learned long before the internet & online videos, taught myself from pictures.)
