it’s 5 o’clock. Traffic is building up. Everything I want is at the end of this drive. Music is blaring but I don’t hear the words. All I can hear is the sound of your voice. I could drive this with my eyes closed. The wind is cool and the ocean crashes out in the distance. My heart is full. My safe place isn’t far away. I see your blue eyes and my body feels hot. You kiss me and I hear you’re ok now in my head. You hold my hand and I would follow you anywhere. I don’t show you enough how much I love you. Though I don’t say it out loud enough you are what keeps me going. You are all of my hopes and dreams. Life has been so crazy but sometimes that’s the way it has to be. But at the end of the week i know that your heartbeat will erase all my tension and the touch of your skin on mine will calm me in a way that no one else can. I’ve loved you since time began. I fell in love with you again the first time I looked in your eyes in this life. Holding your hand and holding your heart in mine is what I’m supposed to do.
