Today, Jesse and I went to Hi Mom find out the baby's gender, but sadly they couldn't. Our little one wouldn't uncross their legs for the lady to see if it's a boy or a girl. Uuuugh! I have to go back there next week and hopefully they can tell us the gender. We're pretty bummed about all this, but Jesse bought me this teddy bear with the sound of our baby's heartbeat to make me happy and it did. Heartbeat

I am so overcome with emotion and love for our baby! We heard the heartbeat for the first time today! The first time we tried to hear it the baby was hiding, so then this appointment I had my guard up (it was our 12 week appointment- a big one! After 12 weeks the chance of miscarriage drops dramatically). As soon as she put the microphone on my belly, there the baby was! Their heartbeat was right there! I couldn't even cry I was so overcome with joy! And then we heard this noise like a scratched record- it was the baby moving away from the movement of the microphone! At that point I started crying- it was the movement we ever heard from our baby! Baby McGrail come here NOW! I just want to love you forever!!!
