This is one of my favorite pages in the Fujimoto manga, because: - Extremely Firo vision in the first panel (like the focus on her lips and eyes, lol) - "o shit I touched a girl" - Ennis going right back to :| - "...Uh??"

Comments from Ryohgo Narita on the final volume of the Baccano! manga
Comments from the original author, Narita Ryohgo

Mr. Fujimoto’s Baccano! manga was one new discovery after another for me.
Even as I supervised the new part of the story, I discovered new faces of the characters I myself had written novels about. And when the story was reborn in the visual format of a manga, I saw new potential for the world of Baccano!, different from what even the anime presented.
My original Baccano! story was originally pretty bland, but Enami Katsumi’s visuals first brought light and shadow into it. Then the anime brought movement and sound, and the enthusiastic performances of the cast brought “sound and passion” to the series. Baccano! has been fortunate enough to receive other adaptations as well, such as Dengeki’s comic version and drama CDs, but in Mr. Fujimoto’s manga version, the unique scent of the Prohibition Age (though of course I’ve never really smelled it myself) is expressed so clearly, and I felt like the world of Baccano! expanded once more.
The anime is over, and the novels are beginning to wrap up as well, so I am immeasurably grateful that I got to see Baccano! reborn in a new form like this. I have nothing but gratitude for Mr. Fujimoto and everyone at Young Gangan’s editorial department.
I hope that readers of the novels have discovered a new side of Baccano!, and that those who first encountered the series through Mr. Fujimoto’s manga will enjoy the novels and the anime, and that you will all continue to enjoy the world of Baccano!
To everyone who has accompanied me on this journey—Mr. Fujimoto, Shimizu and everyone else at Young Gangan’s editorial department, and of course all of the readers—thank you so much!! I hope we meet again!
The cover for vol. 3 of the manga!! I figured Ennis was going to be on it, but to have Firo and Ennis...!!
And then there’s!! This picture!!! of the awkward family trio!!! @shinta-fujimoto, sir, you are such a blessing, a thousand times thank you
Aw man. Looks like the final (;_;) volume of the Baccano! manga has been pushed back to April instead of March. April's gonna be another Baccano!-heavy month...
Do you know how many chapters there are out of the baccano manga?
There are twenty chapters currently out! So it’ll be twenty-two chapters altogether.
Baccano! Manga may be ending
This was announced on Twitter yesterday, but I have had a pair of very busy days...
1) There are two chapters left of the manga to finish up Rolling Bootlegs; the penultimate chapter will be on 12/16 and the final chapter on 1/6. (Japan dates, obviously.) After that, it will no longer appear in the Young Gangan magazine. [source; includes a lovely picture]
2) After it concludes, the extant chapters will be rerun in a manga application called MangaUP [source that they’ll be reruns]
3) However, according to Narita, it’s not yet decided whether the manga will continue into 1931 and beyond! [source]
Let’s hope that they get greenlit to continue! Honestly @shinta-fujimoto‘s love for the series is so obvious in everything he draws and his art is so, so beautiful. The manga is a treasure. I’d love to see as much of it come into existence as possible.
I hope Shinta Fujimoto understands how wonderful he is. I hope he has an inkling of how much we appreciate him.
Hey do you know a good webcite to buy/download the new baccano mangas in English?
Yes! Yen Press has licensed them and sells them through a number of digital sellers: http://www.hachettebookgroup.com/titles/ryohgo-narita/baccano-chapter-1-manga/9780316360890/?yen is the first chapter.
Unfortunately, the territories in which they’re available are limited--if you’re outside the US, I couldn’t tell you for sure whether or not it’s available to you. :c But if you can buy them, I recommend it without reservation--Fujimoto’s art is so lovely and his understanding of the series is absolutely impeccable. Honestly the manga is a blessing to the series.
