News of Cardiknox’s breakup was met with much anguish on our end, having been very fond of Lonnie Angle and Thomas Dutton’s pop music together as the Los Angeles-based two-piece. But at least there’s a silver lining to their announcement earlier this month. Cardiknox has chosen to release one final song before their dissolution, and we’re grateful for this gift, especially since Back in L.A. is such a slick smoldering, synth throbbing pop delight. We’ll sorely miss Cardiknox, who’ve been enamoring fans with their luscious pop since 2013, but for now, we dance without abandon to their last single, reveling in its sweetly rhapsodic vocals and warm propulsive beat.
I’ve never smoked marijuana. I ate a brownie once at a party. It was intense. It was kind of indescribable, actually. I felt like I was floating. Turns out there wasn’t any pot in the brownie. It was just an insanely good brownie.
Hong Jisoo, probably.
