Riot Operation: Back Pedal
With Serpahine’s new color story out, Riot has changed some of Seraphine’s lore to make it seem that she has “no idea” that the voice she is hearing from her Brackern crystal and the crystal itself is from Skarner’s family. Rioter #1: uh oh, we made a kawaii desu, e girl popstar that was aware she was exploiting a minority and not caring about it. How unprogressive of us!! What do we do??? Rioter #2: We change her lore to make her oblivious and say she would help if she knew, since she’s such a good person uwu, but since she doesnt know she’ll keep using the crystal speakers. Rioter #1: Amazing! Let’s go with that, but keep the voice lines of her teasing Skarner and knowing that the Brackern power the city. Rioter#2: wait... why keep the voice lines in about her knowing about the Brackern and Skarner’s family if she’s now supposedly oblivious? Rioter #1: Idk lol. It funny ha ha. :^) I’m referring to a post made on Twitter by Riot Senior Game Designer, Jeevun Sidhu, DIRECTLY STATING:
“Our playbase is aware that Hextech crystals are based on the Brackern race, b-but Seraphine isn’t aware!” Also Serpahine:
He contrinues with:
“If only she knew about them, she would certainly help them because she’s very good kawaii desu e girl! T-the taunt line is just for fun ha, ha. She-she doesnt actually know about Skarner or where Brackern crystals come from!”
Also Seraphine’s first encounter with Skarner:
Just stupid. “Make her oblivious so we dont have to deal with the consequences,” doesnt work if you keep in the voice lines of her being aware. JUSTICE FOR SKARNER!!!!
