she probably needed a doctor or something. this was what ? the third? fourth time? that he saw her and it was always like this. in the worst places. like here, tonight, at this bloody bar. careless of her really to do it right here. he would’ve taken her tot he hospital but who knows how she would’ve reacted if she woke up in his car. light, that would leave some bloody impression, wouldn’t it? not that he was worried too much about the impression he left. well, the first times they had talked he had tried to - no, he hadn’t been trying to impress her when he had talked about the different places he had seen or had complimented her here and there. with a smile that he knew usually got him what he wanted. well, that had been before she had passed out. it was becoming a bloody habit, wasn’t it? he’s not sure what kind of condition that is. but it has poor bloody timing.
he doesn’t move her. he sits next to her instead. it just looks like she’s drunk. and for all he knows she is. and maybe he’s wasting his time. he could be off dancing with some girl or getting wasted. because that’s what he had come out tonight to do. not play baby sitter to - her eyes open. wide eyes, disorientated, but light, is she still pretty. and he has to take in a breath before saying anything at all. his hand tugs at the medallion around his neck, subconscious really. but he’s been all too aware of that here. Louisiana is heavy with magic. and in spite of what happened to him, with his scrambled memories and his distrust of witches or whatever you wanted to call them he’s come here for that. he remembers that much, coming here for help. not to help. but she keeps making it a bloody habit to fall in hot water situations with him standing right there. he reaches over to brush some hair from her face. a small smile coming to his own as he shifts to give her room to sit up. “you keep this up and you’re going to start making me think you’re just waiting around for me come around and play bloody hero.” a small laugh and then after a quiet beat. that role would never fit him. “are you alright?” - @backbitches
