I can't believe I haven't talked about my Hades-inspired LUMEN game, I got so many of my favorite OCs and types of weapons in there I gotta post about my transgender gods and the yo-yo weapon give me a second
concept which I unashamedly admit came to me while listening to the Chariots of Fire soundtrack, which of course made me think of Eric Liddell:
a character who at the start of the story is convinced it is God's will for them to go to be a missionary in [insert place here]. a chunk of the story is focused around their journey to become a missionary, with 'coincidences' that strengthen their faith and conviction that this is what God wants for their life, including health challenges.
around the midway point, however, something happens, to them or others, that proves conclusively that that is not God's plan for their life (possibly someone else having health issues and needing care? idk). the rest of the story is essentially about their struggle to let go of this long-cherished dream and accept that God's plan for their life is different to what they wanted.
very very faith based, ultimately. all my stories come down to that, I think... it shocked me recently when I was thinking through all my stories and realising the common themes are mostly - faith, and mental health, and how they intersect. even adira's story!
Also waking up from that nap I had a pretty fuckin dark fic idea and it involved a poor traumatized arbities woman and a genestealer patriarch
We'd be going with the sexy 2016 model
but yeah idk if I'll actually write it or not... we'll just put it on the backburner
Proposed Elemental Creatures for G1 Toa Nuva. It would be kind of cool to see the MOC community take a stab at something like this.
Tahu: Furnace Salamander
Kopaka: Muaka
Gali: Tarakava
Lewa: Kahu
Onua: Blade Burrower
Pohatu: The pile of mahi magnetized to his body
Does anyone have any recommendations for books written about schizophrenic characters by authors who actually have the disorder? I'm writing a book with a schizophrenic protagonist and trying to do research but the majority of resources that come up are from doctors/caregivers/biographers talking About someone with schizophrenia rather than giving any testimony From the actual person with schizophrenia and highkey i feel like im tearing my hair out
not only should more women in media be intensely ambitious but they should be so ambitious they do insane shit that would literally never cross the mind of anyone genuinely well-adjusted
