This rag tag little garden is out my back door next to a big ugly propane tank. I planted herbs here when we first moved into the house almost 40 years ago and only the borage thrived. Am ancient rose showed up and after a few years of pruning and feeding it started yo bloom again. I cut it back today as it is mostly done blooming—it argues constantly with the borage. Ive grown tomatoes there, rosemary, other random plants but this year Marguerite daisies seem pretty happy—as does an Easter lily I planted two summers ago. It gets full on unabashed sun from noon til night and it gets super hot and dry. Carolina wrens nest in the propane tank and a garter snake often hangs out behind the rose. It’s its own funny little habitat… today I weeded it and later when the sun is lower I’ll give it a good watering.
