So this is an offshoot of our main website, www.backseatmafia.com
It’s one of the top 20 music blogs in the UK, and we have writers, contributors, photographers and people who help us out with stuff from all over the world. At the moment, we’re looking for people to help us with various things that would help us grow Backseat Mafia even further. Maybe if you stumble on this, you could contact us through messenger here or on any of our socials, or maybe mail us at [email protected]
Here’s what we’re really looking for at the moment.
Editors: We’d like people to edit stuff for us, as well as create some content, on: New/Unsigned, Features, Electronic, Jazz, Reggae/Dub, World Music, Latin, Neo-classical, Soul, funk, House, Techno, Grime/DnB, and Pop music
Writers: We’d love writers, particularly album reviewers, on all genres. Particularly we’d like to grow our teams in Hip-Hop, House, Techno, Drum n Bass, Grime, Reggae, Dub, Soul, Funk, Indie, c86, Electronic, synth-pop, goth rock, punk, northern soul, jazz, metal, grindcore, hardcore, Neo-classical, Pop, folk, country, and do interviews, live shows and anything else.
We’d also love to get a few writers from places we’re read the most, such as Australia, New Zealand, Norway, Germany. It’d be great if we could get some people to help us write our features - top 10s, talking to pre-2000 bands about albums, review old albums from your collections,
Creators: We’d love some people to take hold and help us make our playlists, across spotify and beyond, help with our YouTube channel, look after things for us right here on Tumblr, and also our Pinterest, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook and other things. If anyone would like more experience in Video Editing, that’d be brilliant too. We have sessions on our socials that need editing when they come to us.
DJ/Producers: We have currently 3 resident DJ’s on our Mixcloud - We’d love to increase that and have more monthly mixes - anything from Dancehall, to Deep House, to Northern Soul, to Hard House, Ambient, Melodic Techno, Drum n Bass, whatever.
Feel free to repost, copy and paste, spread it around so we can maybe be even better than we are now.
