Semester At Sea Day 58

Well, we’re now back at sea heading back to the U.S. This journey home was a pretty rough start. The ship was REALLY rocking. I don’t know what it is, but everytime I need to crack down and study or do work, the ship decides to rock back and forth causing me to be seasick and not work. I guess it’s the universe’s way of telling me to not do my homework or something lol. Today was one of the busiest days ever! I had 6 papers to write, and I wrote 4 of them today. I felt sick last night so I didn’t get too much done. I woke up at like 8am to write some of my papers. I was able to finish one before my poverty class. In class we went over what happened in Morocco and how this rural country is dealing with poverty. My friend and I quickly ate lunch and then I went to the computer lab and busted out my second paper. I skipped global studies so I was on a roll with these papers. Both of those papers were due today for my poverty class. My first paper was about my service visit to the orphanages and my second paper was on my visit to the World Bank. I went up to the Glazer Lounge and put both papers in my professor’s mailbox. I started working on my third paper until my international management class was about to start. In that class, we had two groups present today. The presentations were pretty bad lol. Neither of the groups dressed professionally for their presentations and one group, like 3 out of the 4 people were chewing gum. My professor definitely called them out for it lol. She basically ripped both groups to shred when she was critiquing them infront of the whole class. My group is presenting tomorrow, and I am definitely ready to bring it lol. Then, in my water for the world class, we had more presentations. I have 3 presentations tomorrow for my classes! My friend and I quickly went to dinner before I had to meet with my poverty and politics group to work on our presentation. Every group project, there is always that one person who is the weaker link. This girl on our group didn’t really do her part and the rest of us basically had to pick up her slack. We finished our presentation on the country poverty profile on Greece and we rehearsed it a couple of times. We’re the last group to present tomorrow. We decided to meet at 7:30am for breakfast and rehearse again. After that meeting finished now I had to finish my part for our group paper for my water for the world class that’s due at midnight. I was writing on water access and sanitation in the United States. I finished at like 9pm, put everyone’s part together and printed it in the computer lab and put it in my professor’s mailbox in the Glazer Lounge. I was cutting it pretty close! After that, I had my second group meeting for my international management class. Our presentation was on AT&T aquiring T-Mobile. We put together our powerpoint presentation and rehearsed it a couple of times. We made our notecards and everything. I’m pretty confident on my presentations. We were going to meet before class and rehearse again After I finished my meetings and those 3 papers, I had to put together my individual presentation and paper for my water for the world class that was due tomorrow. My presentation and paper was on poverty and its relation to water access in Bulgaria and Morocco. I finished it at around 2:30am. PHEW!! I went back to my room showered and knocked out at like 3am. 4 papers done. 3 presentations prepared for tomorrow. Now only 1 group paper and 1 extra credit paper left to do. SIGHHHH I can’t wait for classes to be over so I can just relax and enjoy shiplife before this voyage ends. 4papersdone, 3presentationsprepared,
