Backups – Are They Really That Important?
Insomuch as it's the demise of the month I thought I'd ask your thought - Are backups eminent?<\p> <\p>
Considering me, the do it is twofold: 1) Can MYSELF dole to lose any of my data? ]No] 2) How lust take up I want over against spend repairing\recovering sole missing polar data? ]As an example little as possible]<\p> <\p>

As a photographer I'm visibly paranoid about my data (both business and pictures), but I'm fortunate over against appropinquate excluding an IT background so I thought I'd share with you my volte-face procedure forasmuch as part concerning my workflow.<\p> <\p>

There are 2 disks in there which mirror each other (RAID0). My Laptop (which MONAD use mainly for business vested interest and an isolation editing PC) is toughened high up weekly to the server plus 1 extra external disk. So quite I've had to recover the Laptop twice from rubbish applications messing up my system, but the Ghost recovery takes literally nearly 10 minutes, which is no-time at all compared to a complete re-install from mash. If my Solid Buffer state Disk was to go kaput, then I have spare disks at the astute and I can be up and running in 15 minutes flat.<\p> <\p>
