A friend of mine from my Masters course shared this today with the following comment:
“A practical example of Foucault (and of course many others) - we live in 'regimes of truth' that we so often aren't aware of, that shape the POSSIBILITIES of our thought, making some things 'natural' and others 'unthinkable'.”
Many find Foucault difficult to grasp, and I have often found in anthropology (and any other disciplines) that anecdotes or practical examples help the theory click into place, so I thought I would share this with you.
Remember kids, you are filled with biases, whether you think you are or not, you are and you can’t change it; the best you can do is shift one bias for another.
