You unearth the coolest shit in the most random places
The pond was next to the house, upside down, halfway buried under leaves, twigs, and other debris. On first glance, I genuinely thought it was a stump - until I tapped it with the metal end of my loppers.
Moving the thing was no easy task. It's easily over 50lbs, I would guess closer to 75lbs, and it was sunken a good inch and a half into the earth.
Amidst all the discarded trash next to this thing was the frog planter, also upside down.
Flipping them over felt like opening presents on Christmas Day. I could not believe my eyes. And now I get to share with all of you my glorious finds of the day ✨️
It's looking like we might have some lion's mane in our backyard! Which is really exciting.
Look at them!!! Some cursory research suggests it is indeed lion's mane, which, if true, will be a nice supplement to our diets. Praise Yngvi-Freyr for His spring gifts!
