Early in November, I saw what I thought was just a few sparrows bathing in this puddle and decided to take their picture. Upon further investigation, I learned (if Google image is to be trusted) that the middle bird is either an immature or female blue grosbeak.
If that’s true, then it’s a lifer for me.
I wonder how many of these little fish they eat in a day.
This jay was traveling with the jay I shared yesterday, so it’s not the same bird. I’ll put more peanuts out for them when the rain stops. No one likes soggy nuts.

I’ve been watching these Mourning Doves since they started building their nest in late May. I’ve asked every day since I noticed eggs if there were babies yet. This morning I got to capture this moment, and it was so special. I’m so proud of them!!
