Halysidota species from last night.
Alypia octomaculata / Eight-spotted Forester (9314), officially the 907th species of Moth documented in my yard. Caught while nectaring on Common Lilac.
Still working on my 2 sided Moth Project, within my Backyard Moth Project.
Acronicta retardata / Retarded Dagger Moth (9251)
Appears to be an example of Marathyssa basalis / Light Marathyssa (8956). Would make for the 904th moth species documented in my yard.
Appears to be an example of Marmara fasciella / White Pine Barkminer Moth (0708). Photographed at 2.5X.
Possible example of Crambus laqueatellus / Eastern Grass-veneer (5378). Dead on the sheet tonight.
Ceratomia catalpae / Catalpa Sphinx (7789) just discovered hiding on the side of my step. Too tired to photograph it tonight, you'll have to wait till tomorrow.
This male Palthis angulalis / Dark-spotted Palthis (8397) was hanging around looking for some ladies. Too bad he ran into me & my collection containers.
