5.2.17 - Another backyard weed - Euphorbia peplus. As soon as I broke a flower off and saw the latex leak out (top right picture) I knew it was likely Euphorbia. I was surprised at how “sticky” the flowers were so I popped it under the microscope. Little tapered horns and petal-like appendages make it at interesting find despite its ubiquity as a CA garden weed!
