2 French Roma Tomatoes
Wow. What a whirlwind these past two weeks have been!
In a matter of a week, I found out a full-time job opportunity was available at a local tea shop, called The London Tea Room, sent in my resume and cover letter, had my first interview (this all took place in a matter of about 24 hours), then had the second round of interviews the next week, and started that Monday! So I’ve been working at the Tea Room for two weeks now, and I love it. Just by getting to smell the teas alone makes this a dream come true for me. I need to find decent squishy, low-impact black shoes though. The black shoes I have currently have made me discover an unfortunate new dance move: the “After Shift Waddle”.
Besides the exciting new job, I can now check off my list of plant growing abilities the following: producing tomatoes FROM SEED. Last year I didn’t start anything from seed, really. THIS year, however, I have several varieties of tomatoes (mostly heirloom) and peppers I have started from seed. The first ones that have produced so far are some Roma tomatoes! You might be thinking “Um, those aren’t heirloom...” and you would be correct, HOWEVER these tomato seeds are special to me because our dear upstairs neighbors picked up this special adorable seed package from France while they were on vacation last year. So it’s kind of fun to say these are FRENCH tomatoes.
*insert stereotypical french HOH-HOH laugh here*
There is a new item in my Etsy store! I will be creating a line of Back-to-School items that will make you (or your child) the fly-est one in the room. First up is my Fabric Pencil Case Booklet. A miniature book look-alike that holds anything from pencils and beyond that snaps close with a plastic snap. The inside of the booklet features an elastic band (pictured is two straps, but will be one continuous elastic band, which will increase the amount of spaces by one in the center), sewn into perfectly sized loops to grasp your items. SIX color choices make it fit with any style! Get one for your kid (or you, since they’re THAT handy to have) before the school year starts! Here’s the link to the listing:
