I think anyone who went to a summer camp in the united states knows what gaga ball is

y'know, the game where you stick a bunch of children in a big octagon to slap a ball at each other aiming for the waist or below? yeah, gaga ball

but here's the thing: I had no idea what gaga ball was for the first couple years I went to summer camp

I knew what BACON BALL is

basically take the idea of gaga ball but make the octagon really really small and put a chain fence/barrier around it. then keep the same concept of having children slap a ball at each other

except, because the thing is so small, those balls HURT. you get a lot of power in these balls

so much power that they can actually go over the chain fence, over the spectator stand, through tree branches, and still hit someone in the face

that someone was me btw

also the only summer camp I ever attended was a Christian summer camp. they got rid of the bacon ball pit after a few years and replaced it with a gaga ball pit

though, I never was much of a fan of either. no no no. I was a carpet ball gal

y'know, the game where you're given 5 pool table balls on this super long table w/ carpet? and like, you have to try and hit the other person's balls into the ditch on their side by throwing the little white ball at them

I'm just saying, the younger the child, the quicker those white balls get thrown away from the table by the sheer FORCE used by those kids
