Enjoy this treat that is both sweet and savory. It has crispy bacon and rich, sugar-free dark chocolate. This recipe makes a deliciously rich snack or dessert that is perfect for people on the ketogenic diet.
Ingredients: 12 slices thick-cut bacon. 4 oz sugar-free dark chocolate. 1 tbsp coconut oil. 1/4 tsp sea salt optional.
Instructions: Get the oven ready by heating it up to 400F 200C. Put parchment paper on the bottom of a baking sheet. Lay out the bacon slices in a single layer on the baking sheet. Place the fries on paper towels to soak up any extra grease after baking for 15 to 20 minutes, or until they are crispy. Melt the coconut oil and dark chocolate in 30 second increments in a bowl that can go in the microwave. Stir the mixture until it is smooth. Toss each piece of bacon in half of the melted chocolate, then put it back on the parchment paper. You can add sea salt if you want. Put the chocolate in the fridge for about 30 minutes, or until it sets. Serve and have fun!
