Today my period started for the first time in a year and ny headphones started doing that thing where they have to be in the perfect position to work

So I'm in Boston and visiting family and I was over at my aunt and uncles apartment with my baby cousin. Mind you I have 0 experience interacting with small children but this kid, he's two years old and so wonderful okay listen to this So my aunt offered me a carrot and some hummus and then went and sat down across the room. I nibbled my carrot in peace and my baby cousin saw that while everyone else was snacking, I had nothing now, and promptly appeared with a carrot for me. He put it in my hand and made sure I took a bite after I said thank you and he toddles away saying "merci, merci!" (My aunt is bilingual and teaching him as well so he speaks an adorable mix of French and English nonsense) He then brings me another, and another and another until my little hands cannot hold this amount of carrots this child is giving me but he's so cute I can't just not take them you know? And he keeps checking that I'm also eating some of these carrots which he is bringing by the tiny fistful now and I am struggling between gratitude and dying of adorableness and holding all of these little carrots. I was eventually saved when my aunt sent him over with the whole bowl so I had something to put them in. Children are so pure.

I ate so many cookies and brownies and shit but I don't care. This was a wonderful night with wonderful people. <3
