So last time, I randomly found it in this movie review

A movie from 2021 where you don't actually know if it's DID or the MC is hallucinating stuff, but it's still very DID-coded with the new 'nanny' having 'like 2 complete different personalities', with the good girl persona and the 'sexy dangerous' persona.

Ugh

And then this gem

Watching a review of it now. It's apparently transphobic too, but *right in the synopsis* it's outright ableist with that damn DID villaination and gross misunderstanding

Can't believe this book got a 3.8 on goodreads.

Like what. Really? This again? 'A patient wuth a split personality - one of side he's the bloodthirsty genius [...]'

*And that book is from 2022*

And did I read right? The synopsis is saying that *this person with DID* makes the MC hesitant about repealing *literal torture* in that asylum? What.the.fuck

Oh yay /s they found an even more awful way to get their abusive love interest in yet another story.

Hey everyone! We know many of you might already know this but Apple TV+ has plans to make a tv show based off the murderer/criminal Billy Milligan who got off scott free by claiming to have DID and that the crimes were committed by an alter. To unpack why this show will be terrible representation and just further the stigma is it’s own can of worms that I’m sure most of you can already figure out yourselves. Plus it could also be bad for younger and/or newer systems in that it would tell them that they don’t have to be responsible for their system. While this petition might not stop production, it’s good to boost around and sign to let people know that this isn’t true of all systems and not the rep we want. Remember not to donate money, though. Change.org takes all donations for themselves, it doesn’t go to the people who made the petition.
