Every new thing I learn about what was supposed to be in Dispatch, the angrier I get (granted the things I hear are secondhand from my moots so take w a grain of salt)
Apparently Robert was originally supposed to be fully Korean, but they changed it because somehow they thought it would be bad representation
But they thought the Black woman who’s a fatherless rapper from Michigan wasn’t bad representation?!! 😭💀
I dont want to claim Jax as part of the transgender community. Fuck that abuser. I DONT want to claim Jax as trans representation. Get this stupid misogynistic FAR AWAY from trans people.
"but the bow scene!" The bow scene could have meant any fucking thing. I have no idea if Jax is canonically transgender because nothing is confirmed in the show. It could mean that Jax is a femboy or that Jax is transgender. I dont care. They left the scene up for interpretation (I guess its hard to just say the character is trans huh) so Im interpreting that Jax can fuck off from the trans community. Jax is an AWFUL representation.
No, we couldnt have more Zooble screen time or trans Gangle. We needed the abuser to represent trans people. Great.
Two novellas about just some of the WORST queer people in a nasty fantasy Earth you can imagine, on sale today in the BristolCon Dealer's Room.
Gellert's New Job & Strange Liberty by Johannes T. Evans feature just terrible, terrible queer representation. The shittiest sexiest guys!
And both books are in my Starter Pack eBook bundle if you'd like to buy 10 books together!
Kinda hate that Kyle, Lonnie, and Rogelio ended up in a poly triad... Lonnie treated Kyle as bad as Catra did. She doesn't deserve this. Kyle/Rogelio supremacy!
spop fans: spop has such good representation!! it has so many diverse characters and represents different ethnicities so respectfully
meanwhile spop: has a "latina" character who is half-animal, extremely aggressive and unnecessarily sexualized by the show as well as the fandom
Gotham 2014 COULD'VE Had Trans Characters 🏳️⚧️
I think with how little trans representation we have, sometimes there needs to be invisibility visibility, in which we highlight the lack of a group in a somewhat diverse work.
It feels weird to have this many characters but no confirmed trans characters.
Correct me if they decided to add a minor character, but I looked it up too and didn't find anyone 🧐
looking particularly homeless this blessed holiday 😵💫
