#bad dubs

Rewatched Leap. The new dub sucks. For context, I watched this movie when it first came out (English dubbed), and it was great. This new dub cuts out so much of the dialogue that's actually really important. Like Felicie's epiphany for why she wants to dance, ALL OF IT WAS CUT. ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT LINES IN THEMOVIEE. I just really wish there was a place where I could watch the original English dub.

The most INSANE part of the 4kids dub isn't Zoro's squawking, or Ace saying "No monkey in the middle? 🥴" or "I'd be an old guyyyyyy" or Nami's "ITS A TWISTER SISTER" or even Sanji's voice.

Its the fact that they call Ace "TRACE"

How do you fuck it up that badly.

I'm convinced the voice actors were drunk the entire time they wrote that script because what in the hell.

One thing I find hilarious is what would happen if 4kids ever got their hands on “wakako zake”. It’s a short anime series with episodes focusing on Japanese dishes and just thinking of how they’d “Americanize” it makes me think every episode would just be this.

Or terrible photoshop sandwiches in every episode. One of the two.
