This really made my morning anonymous. You have no idea.
Yesterday I was hanging out with my roommate and her friend on her bed. She decided to wiggle her body under her bed to see if she could fit (it was obvious she could). I originally sat on the corner, she wiggled a bit underneath I heard my phone beep and I got up to get it off the charger. I sat back down on the corner. She suddenly made a face and a little grunt/laugh as I sat down saying how hard it was to get under the bed when its this heavy and that you basically couldn’t store anything.
I stood up, sort of laughing at her antics (thinking it was just the bed frame she was talking about) when she suddenly exhaled and looked relieved. She looked at me then her friend and said, “Oh… well that makes it easier to get under when its not so heavy…”
I turned scarlet. She had openly but subtly admitted in front of her friend, that I was “weighing” the bed down and that without me on it (while her friend was sitting there still, her mouth covered in a stifled laugh) she could wiggle under it. I was so embarrassed. I looked at her like she was crazy but even she grew slightly surprised at what she said aloud.
I grabbed my stuff with watery eyes and went to my room. She took a few minutes to realize she had hurt my feelings before coming into the room… she tried to apologize but I couldn’t look at her and wouldn’t let her finish considering I had been spending all night with her while she and her GF were having problems/breaking up.
So to see this anon comment, even though it makes me cry a bit because of last night… it makes me feel better. Thank you.
