Death Bard
Storytime!
So, I’m running Curse of Strahd with a few pals, and I’m playing a half-elf bard (who is deaf). We got into a fight with 5 barbarians and a very attractive female gladiator.
Anyway, I used my Enemies Abound spell on the gladiator causing her to attack her foes. She Killed like three of them, so it was successful. Once the three were dead, I used Fear on a barbarian in front of me (after sassing one to back up 5 feet), causing him and the guy next to him to dash away, surrounding our Barbarian, Gallagher.
Since the dudes in front of me and our other friend Bewm dropped their weapons, I, the deaf Bard, decide to charge the men who dashed away with their own greataxes. I wasn’t proficient, so I rolled a 1d20+2 and got 17, therefore hitting. It kills one barbarian, leaving them all dead. (Gallagher killed one.)
On my next turn, the gladiator woman decides to run away, so, my bard, being badass as fuck, decides to THROW THE FUCKING GREATAXE, rolling 20, and pinning the woman to the floor. I then insult her intelligence with Vicious Mockery (she rolled two nat 1′s in intelligence) but it has no effect. Gallagher finishes her off.
All in all, we decided to enter the temple, but not after a great fit of laughter from everyone and Bewm who asks, “What kind of bard is this?”
DADDY GALLAGHER IS SO PROUD.
Go, deaf people, go! We’re all rooting for you!
