After staying at a rather nice hotel we threw off the #badbackpacker label and rough it by taking the 14 hour, 5th class, hard seat sleeper train. We joined the locals by crawling under the cramped wooden benches onto the filthy wet floor and took enough Valium to doze through the noisy rattling cage windows and thick smokey air, until the morning when we explored the other carriages and pretended not to understand when they tried to move us out of third class 😆🚂#worsetoiletsonSouthern #roughingit #backpacking #vietnam #train #cattleclass (at Đà Nẵng Railway Station)
