Dear Journal,
Piltover is annoying loud. Mostly because of the boy, the ruffian and the defender. But, the Sheriff. She is quiet and makes great tea. I could not resist sliding down to try a sip when she left the room.
I wonder, did she even notice I was there?
I took my leave when I heard some odd noises coming from the next room~
Caitlyn had been missing for days now, and the station had been silent until now. Vi's personal phone was ringing off the hook, Caitlyn's name flashing until the pinkette answered. The brunette spoke in hurried words. "Vi... Vi I need your help. I finally got my phone away from him, but I'm not sure how much time I can waste talking. I don't know who my attacker is but I'm by the docks Vi. I'm in a warehouse. That's all I can tell you, please hurry." And with that the call ends.
"Cait! Caitlyn!? …Fuck!" She stuffed the phone back into the pocket of her hoodie and grabbed the gauntlets sitting idly against the wall behind her desk.
She didn’t bother telling any of the officers she bolted past even when they shouted their disapproval and questions after her.
The docks. There we a few warehouses by the docks, housing machinery and cargo ready to be shipped. In one of those was Caitlyn, her partner. Vi would break into every one if she had to. Had it been anyone else they would have a strategy, a plan for negotiation or at the very the sense to rescue discretely so as not to endanger their Sheriff.
But had the situation not been dire enough she wouldn’t have called Vi and only Vi. The pinkette had no time to waste.
"Good evening Jarvan." she says greeting him with a slight bow of her head. "It's been quite a while since we talked, do you have a few minutes to spare?"
The sky was red. The kind of red that made you wonder if there wasn’t more to the sunset’s hue than the clouds alone could conjure. It was the kind of thing that could capture the imagination and send the superstitious into all manner of agitation. Jarvan IV paid little attention to the off-putting hue. Whatever it did or didn’t ordain, he would meet it all the same. There would be no doubling of the guard, or other such nonsense. Conversely, the Sheriff of Piltover stole his full attention as she spoke. He turned to face her, head bowing much the same. Besides a mild surprise, his expression said little about his mood.
"I have a few. What is it?"
The brunette tried to quietly sneak in late into the station. By now Vi had to have noticed her partner was missing. She kept her shades on trying to ward off the bright lights in the station, her hands constantly brushing her hair over her shoulders and neck concealing any hickeys she had. She has over slept and after returning back from Ionia only hours earlier on a "business trip" with Sejuani she was a little worse for wear and incredibly hungover, only remembering a blur from last night.
What the hell? Caitlyn- the Sheriff of Piltover -was late. she was never late. Heck sometimes she was working so long into the evening she was early for the next day.
And then the pinkette sees her. Her partner was making her way through the small crowd of new recruits murmuring greetings. The fact that she was wearing her shades indoors, something she often called others out on, was already making the enforcer suspicious. Her hands kept darting to her head and clothes, smoothing wrinkles and stray hairs.
Vi knew this behavior all too well. Because this was her monday morning state. Hungover.
"Uh. Cait?"
I will get to replies in ze morning, for now I must rest.
I LOVE YOU ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL
"So uh... You'll never believe what happened Vi. You know how I was a tad late getting back from the Frejlord? Well I got caught in a blizzard and for my safety Sejuani asked me not to leave. She came to my inn with sweets and apologized for angering me and then in the middle of our conversation she sort of just threw me on the bed. Pinned me, and stole a few kisses." She shakes her head. "I would have never thought the leader of the winters claw would have a thing for someone like me."
It takes a moment for Vi to process what her partner was telling her. Eye twitching dangerously she asks for clarification.
"She what?" God help her if her ears weren’t playing tricks on her.
