More Badcube Recon pics!
In action today is Badcube's Old Timer Series OTS-15 Recon, or their take on a Masterpiece Red Alert (with guest appearance from MP-33 Masterpiece Inferno)!
At the time I wasn't even giving this figure a look given the official Masterpiece Red Alert options from Takara Tomy. I'm glad I changed my mind.
I wasn't aware that Badcube designed the car mode to look like animation model, until I actually pulled the figure the box. I love the clean lines in vehicle mode, and you have the option to swap out the headlights with white covers to give it a more animation accurate look. Unlike the official version, there's just less panel lines in car mode, which makes Badcube's just look better.
Transformation is pretty easy. I wasn't fighting any parts to get from one configuration to the next.
Robot mode is pretty sweet too! Once again, it's pretty accurate to the Red's design. My only minor issue is the way the thighs line up in robot mode. Other than that, I'm pretty happy with the figure. I doubt I'll get the official version at this point.
