So what I do is when I catch a new horse I press the L button a lot, and I ride around until my bond with the horse is maxed out. Or just max it out by feeding the horse apples. That’s mostly because I want to change the saddle or bridle immediately after registering the horse.

Again Baddek makes mention of the white horse.

Yeah, that’s right. Other animals disappear if they go (or you push them) into water that’s too deep. It would be pretty bad if your horse were to do that, so it makes sense that they would swim. You know what’s lame though? You can’t ride your swimming horse. Now wouldn’t that be fun? You could ford rivers and do laps around any handy lakes like people have done in the past! Okay, not the latter, but definitely swimming rivers with your horse would be such a cool detail!

Baddek always has something useful and/or fun to say in regards to horses. I can believe that he spends all his time thinking or dreaming of horses!

Baddek, on the other hand, is one of those NPCs who talks nothing but horses. And he rides a horse too, so that speaks something for him.

I’m surprised he didn’t say “...you’re neighing up the wrong tree.” The other things he says are pretty fun though!

Baddek knows everything about horses. Even about the horse gear that stables give you for every registered horse.

Baddek, the NPC with the horse-tinted glasses, has me a little befuzzled. He says that some of the stables have slightly different saddle and bridle types. Is he talking about the default saddle and bridle you get when you register your horse? I always thought those were the same. It would be rather neat if there was some little difference that you have to examine very closely to notice...

I caught this horse and registered it at Outskirt Stable. 

And this horse I registered at Serenne Stable, but since there wasn’t a girl there to change the saddle and bridle, I rode straight to Woodland Stable. Apart from the fact that one is in the shade and one is in the sun, I’m not seeing any differences of saddle or bridle, at least from this angle. 

Though Baddek did mention Woodland, Highland, Outskirt and South Akkala Stables. If my memory serves me, I know at least three of those stables are ones at which you can change your horse’s saddle and bridle. I just don’t remember if you can change your horse’s gear at South Akkala Stable too. This bears more looking into though. I want to know what Baddek is talking about!
