It had been a while since a human fell into the underground.

Scratch that. It had been four, running on five years since a human aside from Chara had fallen into the mountain. They suppose it made sense, no human would have been dumb enough to head to the accursed mountain aside from them- a child already convinced they were cursed, too.

So when word is let out that a human child has been spotted in the ruins, only younger than Chara by a few years, they do not hesitate. They head for the child before word catches up to their parents and sibling who’d been in the house sound asleep. They knew they weren’t supposed to be out, but it wasn’t like a walk could hurt them.. Especially if a human had fallen.

One that could do damage if left unattended. They knew the ‘stories’ on the surface that had been spread by liars, that monster’s wanted human souls and if you fell down the mountain you would be harmed and would not come back. None of it was true. They were regarded with nothing but warmth and kindness from the monsters, something that did not greet them with their own kind.

Shortly after this thought crosses their mind, they finally stumble upon the human, stuck on one of the numerous puzzles within the area. With lightly narrowed eyes, they approach carefully, hand moving to their pocket where their trusted dagger. Although it hadn’t compared to their knife, it was still something to work with if they needed to fight.

Gently just, rips Dust's knife out of their hands and runs. There they go.

Oh, now they've done it!

Upon Dust's knife immediately being ripped away from them, they went on a mad pursuit for to get it back forcefully. It's one of the only things they have in their inventory, and like hell would they let them get away with it!

Overall, now they got an eleven-year old kid chasing after them from behind. Good luck with that.
