And, if you really wanna see the dragons and “reviving the old moments”, it’s worth it.

Currently using Candryawaaat and I jsut used that yopmail thing to get the Horburple, Typhoomerang and a stable. I’m still about to get 2 mopre dragons if 1 of them cost 300.

Also, to complete the gronckle mission easier, get a gronckle as your first dragon.

also i want to say silverweed is kinda crap. after her mudraker review i just stopped watching her all together. sad thing is she's one of the only people i can find that has reviews of new dragons.

She seems to make some pointless videos tbh.

The Death Song review is just a big fucking why.

Realistic? Unique model? Death Song has Skrill’s model and its flight IS NOT REALISTIC AT ALL.

I cringed during the flight part, specially when she said it was “super realistic”.

It’s unfortunately that she’s the only one I know that makes Dragon Reviews.

Also, her voice becomes annoying afterwards tbh.

I was looking at that "chandelier" of the dragon being stabbed and it looked a bit like a grapple grounder to me. But I was wondering if it really is or not seeing as the grapple grounder first showed up in the httyd video game. So is it supposed to be based off of that "chandelier" or could the "chandelier" be an entirely different dragon? (sorry if i don't make any sense)

Honestly, I have no strong intuitions any way about what the “chandelier” dragon is and how it is related to the Grapple Grounder! I would not imagine that the animators intended it to be a Grapple Grounder, but moreof made it some indiscriminate dragon. However, it really does look a bit like a Grapple Grounder, and if there is no dragon species it could obviously be according to shown first movie species, then I see no reason why we as fans can’t postulate and headcanon that it’s a Grapple Grounder. Who knows? Maybe your conjecture could be right that the Grapple Grounder is based off that “chandelier”... I guess we really have no good way of knowing. The dragon’s design is generic enough I doubt we can ever really tell either way. I’m guessing it’s an accident but I think it’s a happy accident that allows us to have some fun headcanons.

So I'm making some armor pieces for the ren fest and I'm having a bit of trouble patterning them out. I was trying to go for a similar look for the shoulder pads like this cosplay (lenleg(.)tumblr(.)com/post/86911966675) but instead of 5 pieces I was going to make just 3. Could you happen to give me any advice on how to pattern the pieces out? I've been having the problem of pieces not lining up very well. (I'm not the best at explaining things I hope that makes sense.)

For those who don’t want to get that link going, here’s the page this badger is referring to.

Basically you’re looking to make some nifty looking scale-like shoulder pads and need some help patterning this out.

Personally, I’m not the greatest at making patterns and a lot of my work ends up being trial and error, but I can provide some tips and ideas.

I personally make all of my patterns using whatever paper I have laying around, a sharpie, and my trusty duct tape dummy, Major Tom. I start by holding the paper up to the dummy and manipulating it with my hands to see what general shape I want. I then lightly trace the sharpie in the general outline of what I want.

After I do this, I make a darker, cleaner line on the paper using a flat surface. Then I cut out the piece and repeat the process until I have all the patterns for the particular pieces I need, this way I can test that the paper fits together and not waste any foam.

For symmetrical pieces, I recommend folding the paper in half before cutting it so you get a pattern that is exactly the same on bot sides.

For curved pieces, I tend to make my patterns slightly larger so I can cut darts to shape the foam, then trim the excess after I’ve achieved the shape I need.

The most important part of patterning is making sure the pieces fit together and modifying them before using your actual material. I find this is easiest when you have a duct tape dummy and masking tape so you can display things and take a step back.

This is nowhere near the most effective way to do things, and I will be sure to take pictures during my next patterning session for cosplay so I can make a tutorial with better visuals.
