Backgroundstory: Im Englischunterricht wurde uns eine Aufgabe erteilt in der wir uns in Dreier-Gruppe zusammenfinden. Unsere Aufgabe war eine Songanalyse, mit einem Lied unserer Wahl, zu machen. Ich war mit Felix und Tim in einer Gruppe. Felix übernahm die Deutungen in dem Songtexte rauszuschreiben. Tim kümmerte sich um Fun-Facts/Trivia und etc. über Eminem zu recherchieren. Und ich, als Klassenbeste in Englisch, nahm mir den Kreativ-Part zu Aufgabe: ein Interview, einen Chatverlauf, ein Gespräch, irgendetwas! Ich entschloss mich, einen Brief aus Marshall Mathers (Eminem) POV zu schreiben. There you go!
I wrote this song about, how my and Kim’s relationship looked and how it came to an end. We lied to each other, always fought and barely laughed. I felt trapped, but I knew, I wasn’t the only one that did so. We eventually broke up. I used my ex-wife as my muse, wrote hate songs about her, shamed her, insulted her and earned fame and fans through it. I felt bad for making her look bad and I simply wanted to apologize to her, for what I’ve put her and myself through. Despite the fact that I was a great dad, I was still a bad partner. I wrote this song „Bad Husband“ dedicated to her, but unlike my other songs that revolved around her, I wrote down both our mistakes and our bad deal with each other. I can’t say that I missed her, I’m sorry, but I don’t miss her. And I got a feeling that like she doesn’t either.
I am such a Bad Husband, even in we aren‘t married yet.
