@badlandistics: Liked for a starter!
The mugginess of the air when she stepped off the bus was undeniable. The liquid in the air combined with the heat only serving her already heavy breathing no favors, as pained feet carried her around.
She was lost - this was no surprise. Though as she thought on that idea with a finger to her chin something else crossed her, one couldn’t exactly be lost when they had no destination, didn’t they?
But she did need directions to somewhere where she could let her feet rest. She did spend most of her limited funds simply getting to wherever she was now, so simply staying on that bus was no option. Not right now, at least.
Though with the sight of a figure in the distance, there was some sort of wash of relief across her entire body. They might know the general direction of a hotel or motel or somewhere.
Cydni couldn’t help but find her feet moving just a bit faster, an arm waving and a smile on her face as she waved and called out to the figure like she knew them.
“Hey, hey, hey! ‘Scuse me! Can you answer something for me real quick?”
She ended up a little out of breath of her impromptu sprint on top of her general travel fatigue, so she ended up asking her question before waiting for permission to do so, breath just a bit heavier than before.
“Do you... know which way... it is to a hotel, or something?”
Lost

Yeah. She was definitely lost. She could sprint and run all she wanted--but that didn’t mean it would help her find her way back to Morioh anytime soon.
One minute, she was at the cafe enjoying some freshly baked cookies. The next minute, she’d left to return home to the neighbouring town--and she had no idea where she was going.
Megumi paused and stood with her hands on her hips, scrunching her nose as she looked around. She was standing in front of a boutique that she’d passed at least three times already.
Maybe it was a good idea to actually ask someone for directions? Oh yeah. Right.
Megumi reached out to the first person she saw, giving them a friendly tap on the shoulder.
“Hi. Uhh--you wouldn’t happen to know how to get to Morioh from here, would you?”
