I can't think about bad luck without thinking about how many animals with black fur don't get adopted because they are seen as bad luck. This is a six word story in and of itself, but it comes from a much larger and sadder story about how sometimes our superstitions get the best of us. So here is the full poem that came to mind when I saw this prompt on 6 word memoirs... also fun fact: the second line has just 6 words too! Black cat on my lap.
