IZ Secret Santa for @themadgoatzone. One of the things you requested was a scene of the Membrane family together, being an ACTUAL family (fancy that) so here they are! I’m not much of an artist, but I still had a lot of fun with this and I hope I was able to deliver despite my subpar drawing/photoshop skills! Thank you to @badmantis for putting this together! It sounds like it was quite the project, and your hard work is much appreciated by all of us in the IZ fandom! I had a ton of fun!

I think another big reason why I love Zim and Skoodge together, besides their personalities, is their designs... they work so well together. Zim looks so skinny- Shaggy levels of twig-skinny next to Skoodge, who has skinny limbs but he’s so chubby. Also, Skoodge has a relatively simple design- a rectangle with limbs usually, while Zim has a lot more angles and curves. Their body types contrast a lot, and it works really well when they’re near each other. Other than their personalities, and we all know that opposites attract in that way. They’re really fun to bounce off of each other because they always have a different reaction to something- always two perspectives on one topic and that makes conversation interesting. ALSO....their designs kind of match their personalities, since the chubby character is usually the more docile kind one. I don’t know, it just works oddly well even if it was probably not intended by the designers.

I’m going to run another stream where we watch some animation and draw: Thanks again to everyone that came to the last couple streams- they were a lot of fun.

The next stream will be on May 21st, Sat, around 6 pm PST. Our theme last month was When the Machines Go Bad.

We talked about doing horror next but I changed my mind. The theme for this stream will be: Brother and Sister.
