No Heroes Allowed Review
[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]It’s time for the baddies to take control and be victorious for once! And how can they not with someone like you leading the charge.
In No Heroes allowed you are summoned by Badman and Badmella to take control of the army of darkness and beat back the heroes and take the King’s Castle. It’s quite unusual to think that a strategy or tower defence type of game will work with VR but somehow Japan Studio / Aquire got it right. Badman has features in two previous games that were made for the PSP and PS Vita and the graphics were obviously a bit dated.
The game starts you off where Badman teaches you how to control the world and your minions, the tutorial is helpful, and the controls are set up so that the learning curve is not to steep. The quirkiness of Badman and Badmella makes the game interesting and although it is not a deep intricate story it does help to keep your attention.
The gameplay is that of a typical tower defence game where you are the attacker, the setting is very well done with the VR. You are situated in the top of the Dark Tower and have a magical board layout where you can control the playing field, dropping monster nests, sucking up monster and dropping them where the action is. You can rotate the table to see some difficult places and you can also change between 4 views to try and see a little better. The views and rotation of the board helps a lot and the only thing I would add is a zoom function.
The game looks simple and it looks like it will take you no time to complete but get started and soon enough you will find that you are 8 hours in and still busy. There are also times where you would like to replay certain level either to get upgrade points to upgrade units or just for kicks.

No Heroes Allowed is very interesting and a new way that game developers can look at creating VR games. It is also great to see that they took this cool character form older games and though of a new way to use him in a new genre and setting. The price is a little steep but for my, being a strategy lover, think it is worth it with the VR factor.[/vc_column_text][vc_gallery type=”image_grid” images=”27561,27562,27563,27564,27565,27566,27567,27568″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]
