Long overdue, but here's my bingo cards! Decided to do all three pairings of the triad separately for extra detail because why not. : ) Thanks for asking; these were a lot of fun!!

A couple extra thoughts:

I like a lot of variations on both Shanks & Benn's / Benn & Mihawk's dynamics, so they didn't fit as cleanly into bingo as I expected tbh. I like Bennshanks with basically any dynamic: completely platonic, romantic, sexual, and many places in between, all of them are interesting — it really just depends on the specific fic or instance! The amount of content for Benn and Mihawk is small, anyways, so I'm not picky, haha. Pretty sure every WIP I have for them is a slightly different flavor of dynamic; really the only consistent thing is that it's alongside some relationship with Shanks. (insert the "do not separate" meme here) It's not that I don't like variations on Shanks and Mihawk's dynamic, but it's generally the most consistently portrayed, so I'll leave it out of this ramble for now.

Good as a pair, better in a polycule: Basically what I mentioned above; while I really like when Benn and Mihawk's relationship (in any form) is developed separately from Shanks at least somewhat, them meeting and being around each other does hinge on Shanks to some extent.

How I feel about this character: my girl <3 Brave and honourable and lovely. Every time I see people online call her annoying, I'm like, oh you don't like characters having development and starting out with the views that might be too black-and-white, but then becoming more open-minded and learning to form their own opinions instead of what they've been taught? Couldn't be me. But also I am constantly so offended on her behalf, because among all the One Piece ladies who are written so well (how they're drawn is a wholly different matter) she is the one constantly getting the short end of the stick. Here is a character perfect for the exploration of (workplace) sexism and the struggle of female warriors to be accepted as equal to men that we first see with Kuina, and this character gets to do what? Be used for Zoro male characters to look cooler in comparison? She deserves better, honestly.

All the people I ship romantically with this character: SMOKER, also Hina, but, like I said in the previous reply, that's me building on top of smotash as a foundation. But she 100% has a crush on Hina

My non-romantic OTP for this character: also Smoker + I like that the G-5 Marines are so ride or die for her

My unpopular opinion about this character: can I copy your homework answer? Because she is a bi disaster

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon: like in case of Smoker, I don't see her continuing in the Marines by the end of One Piece if the Marines remain what they are now. I feel like her whole journey of realizing that pirates are not always evil and the Marines are corrupt on many levels is leading to that.

ooh character thoughts for smoker !!!

How I feel about this character: twirling my hair he's soooo. Where do I even begin. His moral compass? The way he sticks to his own ideals despite everything? His whole gruff-with-a-heart-of-gold personality? What might possibly be the best character introduction in One Piece (god I hope OPLA keeps the ice cream scene, because it's, like, super important characterization)? Oh, and whoever left those tags on that one anime polls post saying that no one does masculinity like him was so right

All the people I ship romantically with this character: TASHIGI but I also like the idea of him and Hina and Drake being a thing, in some way, when they were younger. That one meme from Élite that is girl kissing one guy, then another guy, then flipping someone off while the guys kiss... them as teenagers to me. Also honorary mention to that one time I literally woke up in the middle of the night with the thought "what if Smoker/Tashigi/Hina" and immediately opened ao3, though this, like in case of Franky/Robin/Brook/Jinbei, is me taking a load-bearing OTP and then building the rest upon it

My non-romantic OTP for this character: Hina! I recently reread parts of Alabasta and their shared scenes are just so good. Also that one manga cover where they're bar-hopping rewired my brain. I like to imagine Hina is the responsible one when it comes to their job, making sure he doesn't get in trouble for telling their higher-ups to go fuck themselves or something again, but then they go out and he's the one making sure she doesn't drink too much or get into fights or hit on married women. I love them

My unpopular opinion about this character: I've seen people say that he's written as being too weak, constantly losing to other characters and stuff, and that might be me being the furthest thing from a powerscaler, but I really don't think that matters. He's not supposed to be a powerful adversary to the Straw Hats or anything, he's there to be their reluctant ally and also have his own character arc fighting for actual justice instead of the status quo. For these roles he's doing fine, idk

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon: I don't have a clear idea of what will happen with the Marines as an institution by the end of the series - whether it will continue to exist in some way or not - but I think it would make sense for him to quit, especially if he's to side with Luffy again. I can't imagine him as a pirate, but I could definitely see him joining the Revolutionary Army or just doing his own thing protecting the civilians as a kind of a vigilante.
