Yeah, there’s nothing interesting for him to see here anyway. Even a narcisisst would get bored by constant litanies of “He’s so perfect!”, “I want to fuck him.”, etc. I’m sure his people have a distance eye on it, as they have on everything that is posted public and might end up in searches, to check certain moods in general. That’s about it though.

I am always like: This choice-good for his acting career, but he won´t ever have so much money to pay me that I am going to see that lame shit in cinema. But good for his serious outside the comic fantasy box career though...

Totally agree, there simply are some things that are just totally not my cup of tea. It might be great, but not my taste at all.

You're discerning abiut what movies oeak your interest and that's great. I'm a fan of Michael Fassbenser but I never like any of his movies ;)

Really none? That’s said. :( But yeah, Michael Fassbender has an even more eclectic taste in projects. Great and controversial character pieces, action movies that are a bit different and then there’s Frank...

I'm so happy I'm not the only one who's feeling apathetic about ISTL

I’m sure a lot of people are really happy to see it and a lot are really interested. It’s great if people get involved and hyped for it and get interested in it, because of Tom, as it really is an interesting project for him. I’m a bit baffled though if suddenly everyone is and always was the greatest Hank Williams fan in existence. I have no problem in being honest with not giving a damn about it.

you’re only saying this because tom’s the one playing freddie. If you consider the context of the piece its a lot easier to see how its a tragedy in the sense that both characters are flawed and destructive to one another because of their past

I agree with that it is tragedy because both are flawed and destructive to each other.

No, I'm not saying this because of who plays Freddie. I feel most for Sir William in this constellation. I was saying it, because of the way she behaves. She knows no other way, but still she is using emotional blackmail, her letter, where she writes "I don't blame you, don't blame yourself." has usually the exact opposite effect. Freddie wants to leave her and she immediately dismisses it  with "Oh, you don't mean that." In the art gallery she kind of tells him, that he's just stupid and that him being a fighter-pilot (basically the one thing he takes pride in) is just nothing. He tells her to fuck off, after he drank too much and she tells "Oh, he's just drunk." That's toxic for both of them. What irked me most though, and why I called it abusive, is the way she'll promise him anything to stay and keep her, but has no intention to keep her promise. She'll say to him, that she won't make a scene anymore, that she won't try to emotionally blackmail him anymore and so on. He is far wiser in this situation, in the way he says: We can't go on like that, we are toxic to each other. Let's stop here.

Just from the movie I have no sympathy for Hester, because of her actions against both men. It's this type of women, that I personally have a problem with. I'm someone who is very rational, so this overemotional reactions just fall flat on me and if anything make me angry. (The scene, where she is at the house of her mother-in-law when she just has to be passive-aggressive all the time? Why can't she suck it up for one evening for the sake of the family or say she doesn't take shit and just go? I know why she reacts that way, but it still pisses me of.) I feel that she wanted too much and was naive. I can explain it from her background and from her past. She has this romantic ideal and Freddie shows her glimpses of it. A passion and love, that she only knows from stories and books. She had a very sheltered life and I agree, that's why the both of them are toxic to each other. Freddie is flawed to no end and I'm pretty sure that he isn't able to have a healthy relationship, but from what we see, he never promised one to her. I certainly wouldn't want to be near such a guy, who's childish, unable to think further than the next golf-game and only lives for the moment. Yet, it is just incredibly naive from Hester to expect to find with him, what she had with her husband (because she still wants this family life, where the husband works and comes home everyday at 5 and showers her with adoration) and passion as well.

There's no one to blame for anything, but they don't fit and don't understand each other.
