but i'm also looking forward to seeing more of svetlana and how they'll develop her and ilya's relationship, considering that they've already made changes in s1 that wouldn't necessarily align with what happens in TLG. for example, my svetlana would never let ilya ghost her for 3 years, like she'll kick down his door and make him talk, and so i'm really looking forward to see her role in everything and whether ilya (and shane) will come out to her sooner and obviously how that's impacting ilya's mental health. one of my biggest criticisms of ilya in tlg is how he isolates himself and wants shane to be everything for him and basically doesn't have deep, meaningful relationships outside of shane (like yes, he has his teammates but even they are kept at arm's length). and technically, I know that's one of the bigger conflicts in tlg and is necessary to drive the plot forward but i'm just really interested to see how they'll weave svetlana into this, considering that she already had a bigger role in ilya's life in s1 compared to the books. i really hope that they won't come up with a lame excuse that they had a falling out or that contact stopped as soon as ilya moved because again, my svetlana would never let that happen, just to make the 3 years of silence work. and so if she can ease a little bit of that conflict, i'm all here for it. hr was an amazing adaptation but jacob can take as many creative liberties with tlg as he wants because that book ain't it and it pisses me off too much lmfao

Yep this is how it usually starts. People are already criticizing our governor for mobilizing national guards. But I highly doubt governor can become a dictator. As long as trump stay the fuck out of our state politics we’ll be fine

Yeah, here in Germany the discussions start as well. We had some problems with Notstandsgesetzen (emergency executive orders) this is sarcasm in form of an understatement if anyone can’t tell... so I’m really glad and thankful that people question the democratic implications of what happens right now. Of course people need to stay at home and they should do so without being forced (hello to the families gathering in parks - children to grandparents), but then as you say, people are stupid.

Oh no oh no oh no. Trump is trying to do that but I'm really hoping our state governments will start their own movement to become individual powers

I really hope that governments and people realise that this is a joint problem and needs joint efforts. It’s not the time for political powerplays. :(
