My second hand-sewn project bag.
After my first one, I wanted to do something simpler. The goals of this project were:
practise hand-sewing technique
learn how to sew a bag inside-out so all the raw edges are hidden
learn how to make a little sleeve for a drawstring.
So it didn’t need to be complex. No pockets, no sashiko.
I took two fat quarters and basically sewed them together with drawstring sleeves. Because I was using this for practise, I chose the fabric prints I liked the least.
The dimensions are awkward: too wide for a drawstring closure, and not deep enough for how wide it is. And without interfacing, the sides kinda flop over.
But I think this is the best quality work I’ve done so far!
