Watching Episode 2 (Bahrain GP weekend) of the F1 2019 season like:

• Love when the commentators call anyone, "a great little driver" (here referring to Carlos and Lando)

• Kubica looks MUCH older than then-34 o.O

• Same number of poles for Lewis as the rest of the grid combined?? Incredible

• Do appreciate Nico's spirited defense of Seb's frustration with Ferrari

• Hmmmm. I'm looking at the 2019 Haas it turns out that black liveries are simply sexier

• This season isn't gonna be fun for my RIC & GAS feels, is it?

• It's so odd to see families just hanging out in the garage. Was this normal in the Before Times?

• Geez, commentators, can't imagine why Pierre might sound upset with P13 and a throttle issue

• "A couple of Mercedes and a flying Monegasque"

• Am I a bad person for feeling a bit that Charles' pole gets an asterisk? Or was the Ferrari engine sitch not that bad?

• Love Lewis just... not moving off at first during Seb's interview. Just chilling with the BF.

• Oh, it's quite windy for this race.

• I like the layout of the track here

• What an exciting start! Clean intra-team racing and the shifting with Bottas and Leclerc so well done

• Sainz HAS to clear the track, right? That car is a firework

• So exciting to watch good teammate action, Seb v Charles is FANTASTIC

• This is a really great race, I'm enjoying it so far

• Strategy, too, with all those pit stops in the top five

• "Second half" says Christian, on lap 15 of 57

• The commentators have had Daniel and Hulk mixed up for like four laps now

• Love Karun's "He's not going to be a happy bunny"

• Two slow pit stops for Red Bull? Weird night.

• The 2020 Merc seemed much tighter to the track

• "Trusting each other, totally" - Brundle shipping Lewis and Seb

• Oh noooo seb! Je suis triste. What a shame after such a good fight

• Oh geez when the nose just vibrated off! Scary watching that when we've just seen Pierre go off at Monza and know how that can go

• I feel like they might have jinxed Charles...

• "Messing it up again" - Nico HUSH

• Oh, heartbreak for Charles. His sad little "I will try"

• What a concerning double failure for Renault!

• But... sucks for Daniel, but saved a very well earned podium for Charles I think

• And Lewis after the race, grinning like a fool about his battle with Seb, loving up on Charles on the radio and in the paddock 🥺

• "We would have finish even more rearward" - I love him and his sad little smiles of pain

• This may be my favorite race so far from a straight entertainment perspective, kind of the platonic ideal of a Formula 1 race. So much drama without any scary crashes! Like yes, finishing under a safety car still feels un-American but Charles deserved that podium anyway.

• This was a fun one. Looking forward to China!
