⚓ Charting New Horizons: Bahuda Satellite Port

A significant step towards strengthening Odisha’s maritime future!

Shri P. L. Haranadh, IRTS, Chairman, and Shri T. Venu Gopal, Deputy Chairman, along with Board Members and senior officials of Paradip Port Authority, visited the proposed site of the Bahuda Satellite Port in Ganjam today for inspection.

This marks the first on-ground move toward developing the greenfield deep-sea port, following the MoU signed in September 2025. With an investment of ₹21,500 crore, the project is set to enhance maritime infrastructure, drive regional growth, and further strengthen Odisha’s position in global trade.

From vision to reality, the journey towards a stronger maritime ecosystem has begun.

Smt. Anu Garg, IAS, Hon’ble Chief Secretary, Government of Odisha, was apprised by Shri P. L. Haranadh, IRTS, Chairman, at the Administrative Building of Paradip Port Authority about key infrastructural and technological advancements undertaken by the Port. The discussion covered major maritime initiatives including the proposed Bahuda Satellite Port, development of the Puri Cruise Terminal to boost coastal tourism, and the Shipbuilding Cluster at Kendrapara, along with broader port led development in Odisha.

She expressed satisfaction over the Port’s cargo growth and appreciated its future expansion plans. Shri T. Venu Gopal, Deputy Chairman, PPA, along with senior officials, were present on the occasion.

🤝 Paradip Port Authority, Odisha Maritime Board & Sagarmala Finance Corporation signed an MoU for the 150 MTPA Bahuda Satellite Port in Odisha with an investment of ₹21,500 Crore. The MoU was exchanged between Shri P. L. Haranadh, Chairman, PPA, Ms. Usha Padhee, IAS, Chairperson, OMB, and Shri Vikas Narwal, IAS, Managing Director, IPA & SMFCL.
