WHAT’S COME TO PASS

Chloe grew up deep in the south, in a big family where she never felt like she fit. While all of them were good at something and had talent, Chloe felt very excluded and irrelevant. Because of this, she put up barriers and began to act like a bitch, soon realizing that she didn’t fit because she wasn’t really theirs. Becoming resentful and angry, Chloe ran away, meeting her uncle Kol by chance. She didn’t know they were related at the time, but she remembered the connection she’d felt, which she’d later realized was because she was his niece. Going to Camp, she found a large family, even bonding to her aunts. But then her insecurities began to brim up again, something that scared her enough that she had begun pulling away.

IMPACTS OF A CURSE

On her own, Chloe was beside herself, feeling entirely too alone and even abandoned. She returned to her adoptive family, a place she had sworn that she’d never go back to. But it was better than being alone, and they actually welcomed her home with open arms, grateful their daughter had returned. Chloe never mentioned what had happened, choosing to keep it to herself. She would have been content to stay that way forever, but eventually, as she was in a bar known for the supernatural she heard rumors. Stories about Mystic Falls. And, while Chloe didn’t particularly know why, she felt compelled to return. Maybe even start over.  

THE PERSON INSIDE

Chloe is a lot like her aunt. She’s abrasive, rude, and arrogant, when underneath that, all she wants is to be loved and have a family to care about her. The snark and the attitude that she constantly has were inherited from her family, and just under the surface, she has their loyalty and love for people she cares about. She doesn’t like to let that show, because she'a afraid to, and she likes to think that nobody can make her, when that isn’t true in the least.
