question, what is Bailey really about? I tried to look through your blog to find more information
The only things I know is that he lacks empathy
and he made his sister into HIS human doll
What is his relationship with the environment around him? With the outside world? What was his relationship with his sister like? What does he feel? What can't he feel?
(( Great question, this may help a bit. I'll try to answer as coherently as possible.
As far as the general world and society is concerned, Bailey is just coasting through it. He couldn't really care less about things aside from keeping up the image of a regular everyman, or of whatever fantasy ideal his latest victim is into. He's just kinda there, he's not numb or indifferent about it. It's sort of like asking a log how it feels, it doesn't, it's a log. Same deal.
An exception, outside of his victims, would be his sister Emma, who is very very dead. He adores her and has deluded himself into thinking she's just very sick and asleep in her room. Another exception would be his father Issiah, who under all his calm face, scares the shit out of him. Though he can't really recognise that.
More on Emma is that as children, they adored each other. Emma was older, by about 1 - 2 years, and very much stood up to their father. Their pet names for each other were Darling and Sweetie, they pinky promised to always be together. The beginning of Bailey's mental decline can be pinpointed to her death, it's also the reason he cut off his pinky finger.
I haven't given Bailey an explicit mental illness or the like, but he obviously suffers from something. He was born pretty indifferent and emotionless, but now he's convinced that people who make him feel intense emotions - agony, hatred, obsession, etc - are his fated soulmates and become his victims. ))
