Bailey x PC AU where you’re the caretakers wife

1)Literally no one even knew Bailey was married OR capable of love and other complex feelings

2)Him being a caretaker is actually what drew her to him cause she was also an orphan and loves children (She’s from out of town, there’s trauma but it’s more of a parentification sorta thing)

3)Despite how he talks about the orphans she feels that deep down he loves them and is just tired(he doesn’t)

4) PC is an office assistant and transferred to this town, works for avery and thats how they first met

5)PC insists on buying the orphans gifts, snacks, and planning party’s “cause they just look so sad :(“ and “Maybe a change of scenery could encourage growth and positivity! :D”

6)Btw PC is completely unaware that Bailey has been trafficking orphans for years and if they ever found out there’s gonna be 2 mental breakdowns, PC for obvious reasons and bailey who’s going to lose them forever (possible yandere outcome)

7)The conflict among the orphans is that they realize that while Y/N isn’t a threat and they COULD tell her who Bailey really is.…she’s the only sense of parental love theyve had in years! (Plus Bailey threatened to send ALL of them to the underground brothel if he got divorced)

Your breath catches when you recognise the figure leaning in the doorway. It’s Bailey — the closest thing you have to a father, even if he’s a bastard. Did he know who he’d requested?

He stumbles through the doorway, barely catching his balance. You dart forward, grabbing him by the waist and steadying him before he can fall. His chest is firm beneath your hands.

Burgundy sleeves are rolled up, revealing the snake tattoo curling under his forearm. A sharp trace of cologne clings to him, cut with smoke and a sweeter scent you can’t quite name. A fizzy, chemical, almost fruity smell.

‘Bailey?’ You snap your fingers in front of his face, but he doesn’t respond. His dark eyes are glazed with lust, pupils threatening to swallow his irises. He’s flushed, unfocused, muttering nonsense under his breath. He’s clearly drunk, maybe even drugged. Whatever he took, it’s potent and hit him fast. Potent enough to erase reason. That answers your question. He probably doesn’t know who he is, let alone who you are.

Bailey the Caretaker

My info sheet on Bailey as potential LI (and some lore about my version of him).

The three people under socials are Avery, Bailey and Leighton (from left to right).

I imagine Bailey likes submissiveness, but more so specifically to him - he doesn’t like seeing PC being pushed around by other people, and prefers that they can watch themselves even without his help.

He is somewhat relieved and glad when PC escapes the underground brothel, he wants them to be able to survive and endure anything this town could put them through. In his eyes enabling the evil happening to them also means controlling it - instead of PC getting kidnapped or held hostage by random strangers, he sells them off to people/organizations he knows and is able to demand them back/hear back from them.

The more submissive the PC is the more I believe Bailey sees them as still a child, and he won’t be interested in them during that time. Only when they show they can fight and survive, and prove they are capable of watching themself he acknowledges them as an actual person (which doesn’t mean he acknowledges their autonomy though.) It just means he doesn’t see them as a bland NPC anymore and more as something worthy of closer attention.

[The “Can you still remember your first name” is my interpretation of Bailey “growing into” his family name. Bailey is the last name of the orphanage owner (his family name), and while he hated the association as a child due to his parents torment, he learned it’s easier to live as “Bailey” than it was to live as himself. By now he’s been Bailey for so long, he doesn’t even remember his first name, or who he really used to be before he became what he is today.]
