carrie has always liked singing. not at a professional level, so she’s not a main fixture of crystal punk, but if you listen closely, you can hear her vocals in the back of some of the studio recorded songs. a couple of times, sherry pulls carrie from the crowd up on stage and shoves a microphone in her hand, which is a little bit terrifying but the cheers from the audience make it worth it.

post-canon, after Everything, carrie and simon start a musical/creative project. this probably looks like simon composing a piece for carrie to choreograph a contemporary* pointe piece to.

*i was a notable contemp hater for a long time but turns out i just really hate the “lyrical” competitionbait style of contemp music to purposely tearjerky songs that involves crawling around on the floor. i was converted by some of the contemp pieces i got put in this past season which were more Ballet based and i connected with the music a lot more. so actually, contemp pointe is fine by me!

even though so much has changed, carrie still loves singing. she sings in the shower and around the house, she provides vocal samples for neko, she sings love songs to simon at night. but she purposely chooses not to put her vocals on it, because she’s not a replacement for sherry. her relationship with simon is different from his former relationship with sherry, but each relationship makes something just as beautiful. you know?

"There's a certain vampire that I think deserves to have his insides on the outside, but they keep saying something about god-modding, even though I WORK FOR HEAVEN-"

"Oh, I don't annoy them at all. And if I do, I haven't noticed. I don't allow that kind of negativity in my life."

"Yeah, a few," he scoffed, "Bu-Young is one of my favorite people, Ma Wang has his moments, Ji-Hyun is too precious for this world, Sonya is divine, Sin is...also there..."

"I think it's pretty nice...been the same for a while though. Not a whole lot going on the blog either, huh? Seems a little...barren? You'd never guess there was a writer in charge of this thing..."
